Continuous Deployment Using MS Azure, VS, and VS Online

Chris Schwing (Applications Manager for Geocent)

We will take some time to go through the advantages of MS Azure and how this service along with Visual Studio and Visual Studio online can help improve your continuous deployment techniques. Geocent is making a huge push this year to integrate these tools into our Development Life Cycle and I hope to share some of the experiences we have had to help with your current processes.

Chris Schwing has worked a developer for the last 8 years but has worn many different hats throughout the IT field. Overall, his focus has been in two main areas. The first is helping organization automate business process using various tools such as Microsoft SharePoint Designer workflows and Visual Studio workflows, K2 workflows, and Metastorm BPM. His other focus has been to bring unique user experiences and creative designs into custom application development. The driving force behind his the work he produces is to learn new technologies and utilizing this technology to help organizations become more efficient and also utilizing this technology to create amazing user experiences.

On a more personal note, I have a wife, a daughter, and a son due in March. I love the outdoors including hunting, fishing, camping, etc.
