Are you using jQuery to its maximum? Do you know about $.extend? $.fn.toggle? How to make your own plugin? Have you really dug down into all that it offers? This session is focused on getting developers using jQuery to its full extent. A speedy intermediate level talk it covers the many surprising things you can do once you really explore this elegant library. This talk has been given at Houston Techfest and GNO.Net.

George Mauer is a software developer, speaker, entrepreneur, writer, and comedian with an interest in the various techniques that can make software simple, extensible, and communicative. He is the owner of Humble Pi Software and currently a senior developer with Surge Consulting. He co-hosts the weekly Virtual Brownbag and is a regular participant in the New Orleans .Net, Ruby, Php, and general developers groups.  He speaks regularly on C#, Javascript, MVC, Mercurial, and Agile at usergroups, conferences, and to his cat.
