Again, welcome back to the new school year! I know everyone has been wondering who is speaking at the first .Net meeting and here is all the information.

Since this is the first meeting of the year and we figured everyone isn’t already knee deep in project coding, the first meeting is going to be a little less ‘code’ intensive, but I think that will work
excellent for the first meeting of the year. There are a bunch of fresh new project classes out there including a 285 and 411 class and I know that these meetings always helped our groups with understanding better coding practices as well as better technologies to use. It is possible that Jeremy will also being talking about one of the latest Microsoft technologies, Lightswitch 2011, and that will be interesting to hear about as well.

This is a great opportunity to come learn more about how to do your own projects and do them in better ways. You get to hear from experienced software developers(and in this case a senior level
developer) who have been developing software for real clients already. This is also a great way to stay motivated about your projects and talk with others in the department or in the businesses
that come who are just as interested in growing as a developer as you are.

I hope to see a lot of people there for this will be a pretty big meeting. Again, there will be FREE FOOD, and FREE MICROSOFT PRIZES so I think that as a college student those all are great reasons to come and learn!
